What are your thoughts on teenagers today?

Im glad Im not a teenager anymore. Today's teenagers suck.





All these labels are getting annoying. (emo, goth etc.)What are your thoughts on teenagers today?
Teenagers now are just like teenagers in any other decade. We do bad things but learn from them as we get older. One thing I cannot stand are the labels that exist more as a teenager in the 21st century (ex. preppy,goth,ghetto,nerd,geek,loser,emo,e鈥?list goes on and on), as well as the constant bullying that I witness in my school. You can probably say that the drugs and alcohol that teenagers did in say the 70'd and 80's is more frequent now then before but that depends on who the teen hangs out with and how they were raised. In my opinion, teens are acting older then they really are which is in some ways good or bad depending on the maturity of the person. I'm a sophomore in high school but I would see middle schoolers looking and acting as if they are in high school or college when they're only in the seventh grade and doing things that clearly are way out of their league and age.What are your thoughts on teenagers today?
They're all going to hell.
Since I don't know all teenagers, I can't really say. I can only comment on the one's I've encountered and I do have to say that the majority of them are rude and very ignorant. Some of them, though, are very bright, respectful and eager to learn. But just like with every other human being, despite age, there are idiots and there are decent people. I just wished that, in this day and age of technology, with everything available to them with basically just the flip of a switch or click of the mouse, that they would learn more. The biggest problem I have with those who are idiots is there blatant hate and disrespect for the elderly. These kids should learn from the older folks, not shove them around and make fun of them. It makes me want to slap the hell out of their parents...
I'm fourteen years old, I'm a teenager, and I don't think we're half bad.





Sure, we label and we gossip, but doesn't everybody? I mean, why do you think the tabloids exist?





Yes, we make noise and do drugs and drink and listen to crappy music, but I'm pretty sure your parents thought the exact same thing of you guys when you were our age. We're young. We want to have fun. Don't expect us to grow up so fast and be all uptight and proper. Teenagers have always been weird and considered ';bad'; and ';in need of discipline.'; It was the same 10 years ago and it was the same 100 years ago, and it'll be the same 50 years from now. It's just the way things are.
I'm a teenager and I've never done anything really bad in my teenage life and I doubt I ever will but I do see majority of teenagers trying to grow up fast and be something their not, do things they aren't suppose to be doing and I hear a lot of stories about doing drugs, drinking and other things during school. I've never been involved with any of it but you can't blame the teenagers they must learn it from somewhere....

i agree with the labels thing but its not really that defined in most schools... in mine it isn't that much, at least...





i think that alot of them are immature or rude. but you can't really say what you think of today's teenagers, because you don't know each and every teenager. until you have met them all, then you can come up with a good conclusion.
Most of them are lazy and disrespectful.

Teens are like any other people...a few winners, a whole lot of losers. I really hate it when good, informed, upstanding teens like myself are lumped together with the jackholes.
I love them!! They're at a tough stage in their lives and have a lot of pressure to handle from school, parents, society, etc and I think that for what they're asked to handle most of them are doing pretty good. I also think that sometimes they're unfairly judged by people of all ages (my ten year old cousin told me that teenagers are stupid and I always hear people griping about how lazy teens are).


They're not as bad as their reputation.
