Is fashion important to teenagers?

This may sound weird but it is one of my oral questions for Spanish for my GCSE's and i seriously can not think of an answer. I am very into fashion and everything with style but i dont know how to generalise it...

It is a way to express ourselves in a way that isn't permanent, say like a tattoo or a piercing. We can change up the style as often as we want, wear different clothes daily, expirement with colour, glitter, patterns and designs, all with the only consequences being that it looks hideous.

Fashion is important for most people because different style's depend on which sort of ';group'; your in at school and what kind of friends you have. Some teenagers don't care but these are normally the victims of bullying or are seen as really cool because they are unique. Fashion also plays an important part in relationships, nobody wants to be in a relationship where somebody wears hideous clothes and accessories.
yes but they all have a different sense of fashion because there are so many individual groups these days eg. punk, goth, emo, chav etc..
Fashion is.....everything for us teenagers. You can't survive high school without a keen sense of it.
