Should teenagers who stab, have the word monster branded onto thier foreheads?

should the word monster be branded onto the foreheads of teenagers who stab%26gt;Should teenagers who stab, have the word monster branded onto thier foreheads?
They should have the word ';monster'; STABBED into their foreheads.

P.S. Princessbi, we've tried that. Your liberal idea of showing kindness to scum does not work.Should teenagers who stab, have the word monster branded onto thier foreheads?
It's interesting that a few centuries ago people were branded on the hand for things like poaching. Why is it that nowadays we cannot (for example) have the letter R branded onto the foreheads of known rapists? Everyone would at least know to steer clear.

With teenagers (or with anyone) you need to have the specific crime displayed on their foreheads. A single letter would probably do.

P for paedophile.
No. They should be properly educated and have to face up to their actions.

But they're teenagers. That makes them children, who have impaired judgement compared to an adult. Studies have shown that teenagers brains are immature as far as rational judgement and self control go.

These kids get into gang culture because they have poor self esteem, grow up in poverty and feel they have little chance for the future. Being in a gang that is into violence makes them feel 'big' and important. I'm not suggesting someone's background excuses violent crime, but to me it makes it at the least understandable, and I wouldn't suggest they should be pitied either.

Teenagers who get into trouble don't need overly harsh punishments, but they don't need sympathy either. They need to be given a proper chance at turning their life around.
Why JUST teenagers?

Adults stab people too..

I think it's out of order you stating TEENAGERS as the criminals, adults commit crimes too, so maybe they should also have the word 'monster branded on their foreheads.

As for you, you stereotyping twat, you should piss off and leave teenagers alone, most of whom don't do nothing to deserve the way they are treated.
I don't particularly favour that approach. I think there would be more mileage in appropriate custodial sentences and a more rationale approach to prison conditions, i.e. an end to the ';human rights'; cancer which has eliminated much of the punishment aspect of imprisonment and replaced it with colour tvs, games consoles, and access to drugs and mobile phones.
No they should be put in a room and the family of the victim should be allowed to administer the same to them...or just hang the little scroates.

Young Teenagers wanting to have babies?

Why do some young teenage girls have this desperate desire to get pregnant? Could it be hormones? A need to feel loved? What is the drive that makes them feel the need for a baby.

Now I'm not talking about teenage wife's or young women who have there lives together. I wondering about 13,14, and 15 year old girls.Young Teenagers wanting to have babies?
Funnily enough, seconds ago I was watching a documentary on two teenagers (I think about 15-16) who want a baby. I got sick of listening to them so came on here instead! One of them was pregnant at 13 and had an abortion, so it was really her regretting her decision making her want to get pregnant now, the other girl just felt like a failure and felt that having a baby would make her life more worthwhile.

I suppose another thing to consider is hormones. Broodiness is completely normal, and we all get it... I get horribly broody and I have a 10 month old in bed upstairs! Biologically, the healthiest and safest time for reproducing is the late teens (18-20ish)... after 22, risk factors slowly increase, peaking around age 40. I personally think women are designed to have babies a little earlier than society generally allows for these days... but then, young teens are not quite there either! I

My conclusion: Something important lacking in their life, peer pressure and hormones.Young Teenagers wanting to have babies?
I don't think it's hormones at all, I think it's a social issue. They see single celebrities having babies, and there's no longer any stigma attached to being a single mom (not that there should be). Most of all though I think they're starved for affection and don't realize that a baby isn't capable of giving what they're looking for. A baby needs you but it isn't going to fill the void that their absent daddies or distracted mommies aren't giving them. A baby was the last thing I wanted at that age, along with the action necessary to conceive that baby, but maybe I was just more sheltered.
Most of them, I think, have ';daddy issues';. either their dad wasn't around or they didn't feel loved so they have this desire to feel loved by a baby and to ';trap'; a guy into being with them long term. Often it backfires, and unfortunately all of us have to pay for these mistakes with our tax dollars.

Personally, I couldn't remember to feed the family dog at that age, I certainly didn't want a baby.
i'm 14.

almost 15.

we have a lot of pregnant girls at our school.

i live in a small town so its kinda crazy.

but like, some girls i hear saying they want babies are like aww. thats so cute. i want a baby so i can take care of it and dress it and decorate a room and this is what i would name it... and all this stuff.

and im like wow, your pretty stupid. because there is no way someone my age and especially the girls i hear talk about it can love a baby, and take care of it the way it needs to be taken care of.

i love to babysit. the little girl i watch is 2.

i bathe her, dress her, play with her, feed, watch, change diapers, and i take care of her as if she were my baby...

i dont want to have a baby.

but the girls that i know that do, are either getting no attention what so ever from home or they are really dumb because no one is ever ';ready'; to have a baby. its just something you have to be willing to do.

and being pregnant in highschool is no way to start your life off...

so i kind of dont really know.

its a hard question, it just depends on the girl.

--hormones have NOTHING to do with it! :)
I think that if there friends have one they want one to or it will make them feel loved or cool
I am not sure. Its a new thing. My stepdaughter is 17 and was asking me for one of those ';reborn babies'; her and her friends are obsessed with playing house. She is getting older, but she surely isn't ready for real life OR a baby. Her 15 yr. old friend just gave birth, so it scares me.

Should teenagers be allowed to have more freedom?

free to do what? What can't they do already?Should teenagers be allowed to have more freedom?
This question is so vague. They are allowed to do a lot of things already by law but some parents do not allow them to do the things the law would allow. Are you talking about more freedom at home? Like being allowed to date, drive, go to parties or go out somewhere alone, or do you mean stuff like drink or buy cigarettes? Sure they need their freedom, but there is a reason the law does not allow a 15 year old to buy alcohol. They don't need that much freedom. It's dangerous and they don't know how to handle themselves with it.Should teenagers be allowed to have more freedom?
It depends on trust level. I have two teens (16 boy and 17 girl), and even though my 17-year old daughter is mature and responsible, I still seem to give more freedom to my son. I know this is very bias but I just feel he is less likely to get raped, attacked, etc because he is a male. You test your teens, talk to them and make sure they are aware it is them who determines how much freedom they are allowed based on their actions. I believe as a parent I have raised my children to make good choices, have morals and integrity and after that, you need to believe in them. It is kind of funny but I am extremely easy-going, the type of mom all my kids friends want to have as their parent. I think my kids turned out the way they did and are allowed the freedom they have because I let them know I trust them, I believe in them and they are more afraid of disappointing me than being punished. I wish you luck!
There are many factors to consider before answering such a vague question. I do think that teenagers should have their freedom. But I must know the relationship between the parents and that child first.

Ex: Do the parents trust this child?

Is this child always getting grounded?

Is this child respectful?

Is this child responsible?

Does this child respect authority?

How are his/her grades?

Have the parents met the friends %26amp; know them by names?

If you answered yes to the five questions then Yes I get teens should have more freedom?

If you said yes to all, then no, they are not ready.
Depends on the freedom.

Yes, they should be allowed to spend time with their friends. Yes, they should begin making their own decisions. Yes, they should be allowed to express their opinion.

No, they should not be going out and partying every weekend until 4 am. No, they should not be given money by their parents to blow.
depends on what types of freedom (like is it just walking to school or is it crossing a main road) and what kind of teen he/she is. if he/she is very irresopnsible then no they shouldnt hae more freedom but if theyare veryresponsible and you know that if thay are in a sticky situation that thay will call.
Depends, im 16 years right now. It depends on the type of person they are. Not all teens are bratty or wreckers. i feel annoyed by the fact that everyone thinks that way. if your teen is responsible and doing all he/she needs to do then give them what ever freedom you feel
It depends upon each teenager. Some teenagers yes and other teenagers, not in this lifetime.
No because do you see what they do with the ammount of freedom they have now?
No, we already exploit everything we can, why give us more to do so with?
No.
No. They have too much freedom I feel!

Is a crysler pt cruiser suitable for teenagers/ young adults?

or it is too fancy and luxury for a teenagerIs a crysler pt cruiser suitable for teenagers/ young adults?
I would say it's great for anyone! It's very roomy, and versatile, the seats fold, and pop in and out, It's easy and wonderful to drive, there are PT enthusiast clubs one can join, there are a ton of aftermarket items to help you pimp your ride... It's good on gas, It's not a tiny little car, so you may have at least some protection in a fender bender.

I'm really happy with mine, and if I had it as a teenager, I would have taken VERY nice care of it. Who of my friends would have had such a nice car? Also, even new, they are inexpensive. My 2007 was $15k.

Also, it's a car that doesn't encourage racing, like a WRX or Civic, so your child might be a safer driver as well.Is a crysler pt cruiser suitable for teenagers/ young adults?
As a teenager/young adult, I would say no. For that price, civic si, vw gti/gli/jetta, subaru wrx/impreza.
if that's what you want sure but there is the dodge caliber as well which receives that 5 star safety rating and better gas milliage and more for the money.

The teenagers under our apartment play loud music daily?

Should I complain to my land-lord peaple? They have been nice to us, and they always turn it down when i ask, but I recently told them that that was it- we were going to complain next time, and she said ';we pay this rent to do what we want';, and then she complained about my 3 small children running and stomping around- which we try to monitor by the way, but my 4 year old son forgets this rule alot- what is your advice? They play it about twice a day, and it shakes our floor, and I can't think of anything, or do anything until it's off, or I leave the place. The teenagers under our apartment play loud music daily?
Once in a while woud be ok but evet day isa toooooo much! tell your land lord people! (keep a log of when it happens..so you have some kind of proof1)The teenagers under our apartment play loud music daily?
She may pay the rent, but that does not allow her to ';do whatever she wants';. Every person has a right to ';peaceable living';. I have dealt with this problem before, and what we did is called the police each and every time we had a problem. Eventually, they got tired of dealing with it, so they left. If they tried to retaliate in any way, we just called the police. The ';squeaky wheel'; gets the grease, or in your case, gets the ';peace';.
Noise ordnance by local laws prohibits loud music or any other type of disturbance after midnight. During the day is perfectly legal, if you're bothered by this, go to the landlord and complain with him/her, do NOT have any more confrontations with them.
Kindly present them a letter that you plan to send to whoever you decide to complain to and make an offer to them that they can play it at these times, or on these days. A truce sort of thing. try to be understanding but decisive of your goal. negoitate if their willing. if not mail it, make a copy
Tenancy laws are different everywhere so you may or may not have rights under ';peaceful use'; legislation.

But in the end, even if you somehow succeed in getting them to change behaviour they obviously want to do, they will resent you for it, and being your landlords, make you miserable.

You should move. This is a situation you are unlikely to be able to fix if you have already tried talking to them.
Call your landlord and the police daily. One of them will get tired of hearing from you.
Maybe turn ur music up and see how they like it......otherwise, I'd move.
Well it seems to me the both of you need to come to an agreement. Quiet time is usually between 10pm-10am (the sleeping hours) if they are playing their music during the day why should it bother you?I also have small children and live in an apartment fortunately for me my upstairs and downstairs neighbors are ME (townhouse) i know how loud those little footsteps can get and pretty annoying at times... Now if their music is so loud to where it rattles pictures off walls or glasses in cupboards then bring that to their attention have them come up and witness for themselves othrewise they may just think your nagging. Living in an apt is difficult you should find a common ground with your neighbors, you BOTH don't want to keep going back and forth to the management because eventually they'll just get rid of the problem (you BOTH)
Well, you could call the police on them, and if the police hear the music playing loud, they can cite them for it.

The police have to hear the noise to do anything about it, and I doubt your kids running around is going to have an effect, lol.
Yes I would bring this up with your landlord, however if your son is 4, I think he should stop ';forgetting'; the rule.
Contact your landlord or the police. Just know they can do the same about your kids stomping.
Cut the power cable going into their appartment.
well if your going to live in an apartment these are constant things you must always deal with, and I lived in apartment for many years my ex was a super attendant we lived downstairs and you do hear every noise coming from upstairs so they probably do get annoyed at times from your children running as well,my ceiling fans used to shake constantly and we went through many light bulbs, they were all adults just walking upstairs,so I would just say if it's only twice a day deal with it,they deal with your children.Or just move.:):):):)
i think that if they are angry about your children, you should talk to them and express your feelings about their complaints and your somplaints. i think that they should keep it down, and especially if its profaine its no music your kids should be exposed to
You need to speak to your land-lord/lady, because this will only get worse. Of course your children are running around..that is what loud music does to small children. I'll bet you can't get them to take a nap, so this would be under the heading of ';disturbing the peace';, which can be enforced at anytime of the day or night if it disturbs your peace. Your landlord should have never put children in an upstairs apartment %26amp; teenagers below you. This is bad management by them %26amp; if your neighbor thinks that paying her rent entitles her to do what she wants, then don't you have that same entitlement? This is a receipe for disaster %26amp; if the parents of these teenagers can't or won't take action to control the noise, you need to start getting the Police involved ao you can get your noise complaints on paper %26amp; this will be proof in case they start harrassing you further, which most likely is going to happen. I've been through it, on all sides %26amp; if your managers don't take action, you have legal recourse to sue them in a court of law %26amp; withhold your rent until the situation is solved, but you'll need those Police Reports as proof when you get into court. Teenagers can be a real pain %26amp; their parents are even worse.
Paying rent does not give anyone the right to ';do what we want';. Every lease you sign has rules of conduct every tenant must follow. You pay rent and are entitled to a peaceful dwelling and what they are doing is considered ';disturbing the peace';. You could call the police but it's better to go to your landlord first.

You need to talk to your landlord and ask them what the best way is to resolve the issue. The best thing to do is to have a meeting including yourself, the parent of the teenagers, and your landlord. A peaceful resolution is best and this may be the best way to reach one. It also may include the landlord deciding to move one of the parties (your family or the other family) to another apartment. You would be better off in a first-floor apartment (considering you have 3 small children) and the other family would be better off in a single-family dwelling if they want to allow their teenagers the ability to blow out their eardrums (and everyone else within earshot).

Bottom line is to try the diplomatic approach first (contacting the landlord and meeting with the landlord and the parents of the teenagers) to resolve and avoid future conflict. If the landlord does nothing you have a legal right to terminate your lease (keep everything documented, even conversations) and relocate.
Definitely call the land lord. We had this problem with a guy who was two doors down. I felt so bad for the little old nun who lived in between us. It shook our walls. A child running and a grown person playing loud music is two entirely different things. It's not like your child jumps up and down for hours on end. Call to get it stopped, you can even be annonymous. If it doesn't work, ask to be moved if that's possible.
put down carpeting in your place. there's not much else you can do short of swapping apts with them. Maybe invite your neighbors up to your place while their music is playing to hear it and they might sympathize with your plight
In a flat I once lived in, I had a similar problem. I cured it by getting up early one Sunday morning (when the neighbours wanted to sleep in) and set the radio up which plays a very long peel of bells. It was right under their bedroom - they never annoyed me ever again.

I do not recommend that you try that especially if you want to live there. It would be better if you could both talk to one another and live comfortably together. Perhaps your landlord would be willing to set up a meeting between you to talk to each other.

    Good Luck.
Well you're not making the kids romp on purpose, like they're playing the music on purpose.

    There's a difference...

Tell the landlords! Ask about the rental agreement if there is a clause on noise limits and whether they are breaking them.

If so, they have the duty to take action against her rather than you.

It's better that they do rather than have you turn itno 'the enemy'.

You might ask if others have ocmplained as well, like the neighbors, and if so, you can all sign a petition for the landlords that it's too noisy and action must be taken against it.

I have a stupid woman upstairs playing her mariachi sometimes it is SOOOO loud even with my doors and windows shut- I call the police and landlord, both, every time she does it.

You think she would learn?? Nope- apparently, your neighbors dont either. What the hell is it with these poeple who cant be respectful to others???
I live in a down stairs apartment, there's a small child that lives above us, she is all the time running around up there, gets to the point you cant hear the T.V , jars the things in our cabinets. People that live upstairs don't realize that running and things like that annoy the neighbors down stairs, to them it probably don't seem like it's loud but it is! SO your neighbors down stairs may be doing the music bit as a pay back. But if I were you I would complain, maybe they will get a notice.
Unless you get other tenants signatures for complaints, if they play it in daytime nothing can be done.
this could be a win-win or a lose-lose situation first of all in your apartment rules is their a noise level rule? next is there a rule about children? Next if you have knocked on their door more than once without contact the landlord or the ploice this is harassment this is not a situation you can handle your self it is one that has to be handled by the proper authorities!! You need to contact your land lord but first read your lease agreement, next if there is not a noise level rule then you need to inform him of the situation so he can post something on each tenants door to bring a rule into effect.... I could go on and on but i think you have the idea....
I think you should turn it is to your landlord. Thats really rude. And they apartment mgr will take care of it. KEEP complaining til they do. Or just call the cops and file a complaint with them WHILE the people have it up loud.

Why smoking is a moral issue concerning teenagers today?

Why smoking is a moral issue concerning teenagers today?

i wan more detail about tis issue....Why smoking is a moral issue concerning teenagers today?
Thanks for a great question. Smoking has been definitely shown to cause lung cancer and a host of other chronic and sometimes fatal pulmonary diseases. This has been scientifically proven over and over again. Cigarette smoking will kill you. And it can also pose a threat to others around you. While I don't see the ';moral'; issue, I do see that smoking is just a slow suicide. What I don't understand is why our government still allows the tobacco industry to continue making and selling cigarettes to anyone of any age. I guess it all goes back to the amount of money and political power that the tobacco barons have.

If you haven't started smoking, please don't. If you do smoke, please stop. We need more smart people like you in our world and it would be so sad if your life was cut short by a cigarette. Why smoking is a moral issue concerning teenagers today?
I believe that it is a weakness to be an addict. It is morally offensive to depend on a drug to get through the day.
I don't think it's a moral issue. You're not a bad person if you smoke, unless you're like...smoking and blowing the smoke in the face of babies or something.

It's certainly a health issue though, and at that age, teenagers don't quite have a clear understanding of what they're doing to their lungs and tissue. It's also an addiction, and like any addiction, has financial and physical consequences.
Smoke is bad, for you and for the others...

Really, is it a real issue? The issue would be about the drug addictive power.
Not really a moral issue, more of a health issue.
    Its a health issue.

Morality can only be involved, in that, smoking eventually kills you.

Suicide can be a moral issue.
Well, because Soming among teens ruins lives and most people dont want to see the leaders of tomorrow go down the same destructive path they did as adolecents.
To CHAINSAWMOM: You are definatley on point when you call it a slow suicide.

Teens that are smoking at an early age do not value their life, and have no respect for others around them. They are saying,

';i dont care'; and are spreading that message amongst

their friends who will take up smoking. In return, those friends will spread ';the message'; to their other friends, etc., etc.

Teens have no business smoking. Some say they smoke because of ';stress';. What the heck does a 16 year old have to stress about anyway? Most kids these days are spoiled and disrespectful. Obviously, smoking is disastrous to your health but when they start young..its definitely the parents' fault.

How are they getting cigs in the first place?

Shoulder tapping or having other (18+) adults buy it for them with the lunch money mommy or daddy gives them. PPL ON THE STREET: Thats needs to stop!!

    %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;NOW, TIME TO VENT:

Why doesnt society want to better themselves? Arent there other ways to deal with ';stress';? I say RAISE the price of tabacco to a ridiculously obscene amount, since they cannot be banned.

Save that $5+ spent every 2-3 days and and give it to charity. Instead of forking out all that money just to kill themselves and the others around them. Doesnt that just make sense?

In addition, It really makes a person reek of a wretched, nasty, unbearable stench. WHY?!!! Why would someone do that to themselves? I'm no priss, but I really get offended by that disgusting smell. It's sick.

TO ALL THE SMOKERS OUT THERE: Dont let a little cancer stick take over your life. You are better than that.
because it is illegal to teenagers , good morals don't include breaking the law
It's not a moral issue. Moral is a right or wrong thing. Smoking is merely bad for your health. But then almost anything could be deemed that if done to excess.
I think its more a health issue than a moral one. It is very unhealthy and can cause various illnesses.

If you have FreeTime, having either parent with the Family aspiration bonus of Fertility will increase the chance of twins. Can teenagers have babys on sims 2 for pc? and also can you have twins on sims 2 for pc? please help! :)?
    Hey

I can help you. Your teenager cannot carry a baby but they can still have one. This is how:

-In the neighbourhood click ctrl+shift+c to bring up the cheat box.

-Enter exactly this: 'boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true' (without quotes) and press enter.

-Enter a household with a teenager.

-Press shift %26amp; click on any sim which brings up some of the boolProp menu. Scroll through the options %26amp; choose 'spawn' then on the new menu choose 'tombstone of l%26amp;d' A tombstone will appear.

-Click on the tombstone and click 'add new adult male' and a male will appear

-Select the male as your character and click on the tombstone and click 'get pregnant with...' then click the teenagers name. The male will then be pregnant with the teenagers baby.

-Click on the tomb then click on speed up pregnancy

-About 5 minutes later the baby will be born name it like normal

-In the teenagers memory it will have 'had 'name of baby' with the dummy logo.

-Move out the dad or kill him off then the teenager can look after the baby

Yes you can have twins, sometimes it just happens on its own if theres a history of twins in the family (daniel pleasant)

    Or there is a cheat,

-Get the couple relaxing in bed

-Bring up the cheat box (ctrl+shift+c) and entert 'aging_off' without quotes.

-Make the couple try for a baby

-Hopefully a nursery rhyme song will sound indicating she is pregnant

-If the nursery rhyme soind sounds quickly look at the clock %26amp; note the time

-In 3 sims hours after the nursery rhyme bring up the cheat box and enter 'aging_on' without quotes

-If you do this correctly she should have twins, I read this on the interent and used it and it worked first time!
not for teenagers, buy yes you can have twins on the Sims 2 on PC... but only if you are lucky enough, even when you use the cheat, it doesn't always work. also, the twins aren't identical,

found this: type Forcetwins into the cheat box: With a pregnant sim selected, using this cheat transforms the pregnancy into a twin birth. (unlike twinsr2cute/twinzr2cute which, in my expirience, rarely works)
i'm thinkin with the boolProps code teens can have babies. even dudes is what i've heard. but yes twins are possible, just eat cheesecake if you pregnant lol, its worked everytime for me!

    Should teenagers get plastic surgery?

Should teens be able to get plastic surgery if they don't need it? such as botox, breast implants, or something of that matter.Should teenagers get plastic surgery?
HECk YEHShould teenagers get plastic surgery?
No. Teenagers and twenty-somethings are supposed to be in their prime, and at that age are supposed to be the most attractive they will ever be. If they get cosmetic surgery when they are at the age of prime attractiveness, that's just pointless. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Many older people who get cosmetic surgery are trying to look like they did in their teens or twenties. When teenagers with plastic surgery get older, what else could they possibly do to their face?

Unless they suddenly lost a lot of weight and have loose skin that needs to be tightened with a tummy-tuck or were in a serious accident or something, no, they should not get plastic surgery.
No. At such a young age their bodies are still growing. Botox is to fight wrinkles which teenagers do not have. And a teenage girl should have her studies on her mind, not getting bigger breasts to impress boys her age and men of all ages. It definately should NOT be allowed.
It isn't necessary, we should all accept ourselves the way that god made us. Also, it can be dangerous, or not turn out right. I'm sure we've all seen women with fake lopsided boobs, it just doesn't look good.
No. Their bodies are still developing. Change you're body while it's not even fully developed could really mess your body up in the future. Why would you get breast implants when your breasts are still growing?
Absolutely not. The risk of complications is too high, and teens typically have a god complex and don't realize that they could die.
    No.

You're too damn young to appreciate anything and you sure as heck don't understand life at all. Wait til you're 50 when you have some experience.
No no no no no no. They should only get it if it is needed, such as a deformity if they just arent that good looking such as me, they should get over it
    no way.

i dont believe in plastic surgery, its fake, god gave us the bodies we're in, we were born with them, why can't we just be happy instead of modifying them?

    Emma (:
no, their bodies are still developing

for example, my breasts were always a 34B till I turned about 18 and then they really started growing

In some cases, if there is a birth defect or something like that, then yes. If they think they are ugly, or something like that, then no.
NO. Unless it's for health reasons, they are idiots. And plus they are still growing, so it might mess up their growing process.
    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    except for implants
    Absolutly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Absolutely not
    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No because they are not totally finished growing yet. They still are filling out.
If they're of age (18 or 19), It's their decision and they can do as they please.
Heck no . Teens should love their selves and stop acting like wannabes =)
No. For crying out loud, no.
if its cosmetic no...and personally i dont think anyone should then.
    No.
    Of course not.
    uh no they shouldnt.
    i don't think they should
    nope
    no!
    noo

Being a teen, I like books like Gossip Girl and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Another GREAT book is It Girl!
    1) Well, I like a plot that is interesting and doesn't go on for ages or ends abruptly. I also like a lot of descriptions so I can imagine the characters/scenery in my head.

    2) Oh wow, so many! I like The Mark of the Lion Series by Francine Rivers, The Clique Series by Lisi Harrison, The Alex Rider Series by Anthony Horowitz, The Gallagher Girls Series by Ally Carter, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett....and a WHOLE lot more!

    3) Sometimes. Although, if a whole chapter is just letters, it gets kinda boring and annoying.

    4) I like a story that has surprising twists, moments of humor, and even a tragic ending. Oooo, and romance!

    5) Yes, if they're written well. In ';Revenge of the Wannabes'; (I think) by Lisi Harrison, one of the girl's friends drops out of her ';clique'; (like betrays her) and befriends other girls. I read that when one of my friends betrayed me and I sympathized with the character.
    1) i like a book that keeps me on the egde of my seat, one that is hard to put down.

    2) i have lots of favorite books, but some are wuthering heights, da vinci code, lord of the rings, etc.

    3)yes

    4) i like a story that never breaks away from the main topic, so it does'nt get boring

    5) yes, sometimes. the sisterhood of the travelling pants series has a lot of relatible stories
    1) I actually judge the book by its cover lol but i read the back and see if its interesting before i buy it (or borrow it from the library)

    2) My Favorite book is Rachel's Tears By Scott Darrell and Beth Nimmo (its about Rachel Joy Scott in the Columbine Massacre i cried from beginning to end i HIGHLY recommend it....oops thats not fiction.....my favorite fiction book is Uglies by Westchester (i think thats him name)

    3) no not really

    4) When things get juicy or the suspence starts to drive me crazy

    5) Yeah im sure i would, i dont think i have read a book that has done that for me yet but i think it would be great

I answered the questions to the best of my knowledge...i hope it helped

action or mystery, basically. either the action because i can't put it down without finding out what happens next, or mystery because i can't stand to not know how the book will end any longer!

Teenagers view - how should i decorate my bedroom?

Im 15, and i where make up ect i like nice clothes, im moving houses and i dont have a price i can spend what i want on my room,

but i was wondering what stuff have you got in your room, or know what i can put in my room, i want it to look really pretty an unique. so if you have ideas off what i can make or put in my room %26amp; or buy please tell me. thanks. :)Teenagers view - how should i decorate my bedroom?
    i love questions like these!

first choose a colour scheme, usually one main colour then 2 secondary colours, mine is pink, beige and brown. if i was choosing fresh then it would be lilac/purple, silver, blue.

if there isn't a closet then opt to design your own. what is really cool nowadays is a wall of hanging space and shelves, all covered over by sliding doors (glossy white). Get a floor length mirror. If you can get a dressing table built into the unit thats great, have some drawers and a large mirror with lights around it.

if you're 15, go for a double bed. drapes are pretty cool. I'd go for a double bed with a furry throw over the end, then loads of fluffy cushions according to the colour scheme, and a translucent pearly white drape for some privacy, but you can still see the rest of the room from under it, and it looks amazing. side tables each side, one with a nice lamp and the other an alarm clock. Get a sofa at the other side of the room, with more cushions, that pulls out to make a double bed (perfect for sleepovers!). A chest of drawers, a large desk for school work. Get a couple of bookcases for here. iPod speakers would be good, sometimes you can get these built into the alarm clock. Get some pretty curtains. Also, over the back of the door have one of those hanging fabric things with storage space for shoes, books etc. Always comes in handy. if you're really into fashion, you can get a mannequin.

keep the furniture simple, but personalise. good luck!!

i want to redesign my room now lol! i'm 15 too :)Teenagers view - how should i decorate my bedroom?
I have a bed (5 ft high with a space underneath), a computer desk with a computer, tons of stuffed animals, 1 long desk with a 10 gal on it and fish stuff underneath, 2 see through dressers, 1 red table with a 29 gallon on it and a cat climber.

Choose a color and have everything else match that color. Say you want your room to be red. Paint your room red and everything red.
I would decorate it with store stuff get old boxes and bags from ur fav store and wrap the sides of the box and you have storage bins i look at pbteen for ideas circal and note any thing you like even if its just head phones over your bed or a cute saying! Good luck

Why do little kids act like teenagers?

ok so i know these kids that are like in kindergarden-2nd grade and they are always following us and trying to steal our seats in the back of the bus and they talk about how they watch teenager shows like family guy and robot chicken(idk wat tht is) and occasionally they will swear. i kno that they look up to us but when they try so hard it gets annoying. Why do little kids act like teenagers?
why do some teenagers act like little kids? Why do little kids act like teenagers?
I'll answer your question with a question...';why do you teenagers act like adults???'; You're not officially an adult until you reach 21...thats the real legal age to do everything under the sun!!! Its simple, they see things out there that interest them and try to mimmick it... Many kids 17 to 5 yrs of age act as tho they are grown...All you can do is dont let it bother you and let their parents deal with that....You need to ask yourself who do YOU annoy when trying to act like you grown??
They want to be grown ups. And all the kids shows have teens starring in them, so kids want to be cool like the people they look up to.

Though I can see how it can be annoying.
They just really wanna grow up!
You are barely even a teenager, what are you 13? Who CARES what those little kids are doing, I'm sure the kids in high school are annoyed by you.
Why do 8th graders act like adults? The point is, all kids want to grow up so fast when in reality being a ';grown up'; sucks.
its the media doing it to them. nickelodeon has so many ';tween'; shows now along with disney. nothing is just regular cartoons anymore.
that isn't good. when they are older they will all be whores unfortunately. they shouldn't be watching that mess! where are their parents????
Because for some reason kids and teens are in a hurry to grow up. No more real cartoons anymore, just Disney channel.
the same reason why teens try to act like adults.
idk but thats what the kids on my bus do. its annoying.
because they are trying to grow up to fast

The Influences Of Indie Rock towards teenagers nowadays?

i think indie rock is a good genre which needs to be more appreciated.

i dont think indie rock influences teenages nowadays. its more of the mainstream media that sucks them in.

i think that teenager scan have a long distance relationship if its love it'll lastTeenagers and long distance relationships?
I am personally sixteen, and the boyfriends 20, (three years, two weeks apart) and I'm in a long sitant relationship. Yes it's hard at times, but, we love each other. Therefor we stay together. We have ore arguments(I see him regularly) but, it's worth it. I don't want anyone else.

    Noooooooo .

Real relationships barely last for teenagers to begin with ,

long distance ? it'll be the hardest thing ever .

Teenagers want a person they can feel close to and hug and kiss, whenever everything else goes wrong.

Without that, its just going to feel something like a friendship .

I mean it wouldn't kill to try but consider what i've said .
No . that is the gayest thing ever. Im 16 and i've never had long distance relationship. If my boyfriend moved away i'd just break up with him. I date guys who i can actually hang out with..

Another thing.. teens and online dating. I think is a bunch of crap. It could be liek a 40 year old pervert for all they know. Or teens dating 20 year olds.. Read ';runaway devil';. Google it if you want.. you'll see what happens about that.. I live in the same town.. soo its kind of freaky.
It wont work. I mean hormones are raging especialy at that age and it will be an uphill battle

Does a small band of young teenagers that plays in a 2-car garage have any chance at the big time?

It could happen! It's happened before!Does a small band of young teenagers that plays in a 2-car garage have any chance at the big time?
There is a term for them, and surprise surprise bands that started out this way are called ';Garage Bands';. Wikipedia has an article that defines garage bands and says Metallica started out this way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garage_band . A few years ago I saw a show on famous bands and there were many who said they started out playing in one of their garages and then went on to perform at clubs and school dances, then when they got good enough and confidant enough, they cut a demo and sent them to as many record labels as possible, until one picked them up.

I know you probably have not heard of a lot of these, but as I said I saw a show on how bands got their start, and there were definitely some really big bands on that show, that started out just the way you and your friends are.

Good luck and don't give up. ; )

Happy Yahooing!Does a small band of young teenagers that plays in a 2-car garage have any chance at the big time?
sure they do - but they have to be / get good and stick with it - try out for one of those reality competition shows
Send a demo to these guys. They play all unsigned music

    wecomefromgarageland@2ser.com
Of course! Go for it, if it's what you truly want. Good luck.
only if you have the fire in your heart. never say never! remember, you have to take baby steps first.
of course! a small chance, but still a chance :)

there's always places like www.garageband.com to get your music out too. (gym class heroes started there)
Do they have talent and are they passionate about succeeding? One without the other is usually not enough. Most have to play a lot of clubs and knock on a lot of doors and never give up.
The odds are against them...but you never know...
That's how AC//DC started right here in Flemington, Melbourne.
    You bet...

To get you inspired here's a list of bands that started out in a garage:

    You bet...

For those of you who are teenagers, how many of you actually care about the Teen choice awards?

The teen choice awards aren't marketed toward teenagers. Anything that has ';teen'; is the title is almost always purposely ignored by teenagers in general, and is usually marketed toward younger audiences, trying to appeal to the side of them that feels ';older'; or ';more mature'; by watching ';teenager'; stuff.

In short, Teen-Nick, as well as everything on the Disney Channel, only really appeals to ';tweens'; at the oldest. This is a marketing scheme that was worked out a long time ago, as it allows the writers to take HUGE liberties with teenage culture, because their target audience is not the teenagers themselves. For those of you who are teenagers, how many of you actually care about the Teen choice awards?
Its not that I dont care, its the fact that its not really my thing,

Well, yeah, and theres the fact that I've been feeling a little indifferent towards them.

But Im still a teen so I could care more if I really wanted to, the teen choice awards just never really crossed my mind. For those of you who are teenagers, how many of you actually care about the Teen choice awards?

My idea...how about you make the teenager skip the class and let's the children go without the teenager..and from that, you can see whether the kids come back home at 1 o'clock or not..if not, try make the kids go to private school by inviting headmaster to your house via phone..BTW, I think it's a glitch and if the problems aren't solved yet, just move out and find a new one house..hope i help..
    Did someone die or something?

That happened to me and it was because they weren't doing what they wanted such as jobs, girlfriend/boyfriends.

Play as them. Save seperately so you can play with it and figure it out so you dont have to mess it up.
Waht u can do is either when they get on the bus quickly drive them back to school or if u have apartment life instruct them to go back to school lol i am a sim lover to hope that helps.

Why are all the people in disney shows really old and act as teenagers?

jason earles is like 32 and ashley tisdale is like 22 and moniqe coleman is like 28, why dont they find 15 year old actors instead? im so confused. Why are all the people in disney shows really old and act as teenagers?
You guys are so retarded!!! It's because they chose people who look young! Since they have a baby face, its easier for them to portray younger roles, and keep them for longer. Take me for instance. I'm 19, but I look like im 12 (no lie)! I get in trouble so many times at certain places because of my looks (going to the movies to see rated R movies, going into clubs, sometimes even driving). It's better for them because with the people having baby faces, they won't have to worry about replacing them with other characters after a short period of time. This isn't Disney related, but it's like Harry Potter. Daniel Ratcliffe aged so much over the years from movie to movie, but between book to book, he didn't age too much. Rumors had it that they were thinking about replacing him, since he looked too old for that part. It's just like that. Disney avoids that and chooses people who look younger for their age, so they can have them around longer. It also saves them money. Why are all the people in disney shows really old and act as teenagers?
there are Strict Child Labor laws in tv and movies-

Under 18's can work only a certain amount of hrs and have to have a tutor/home schooling and parent/guardian on the set
I have no idea because raven got kicked off when she turned 20 years because my children watch it.
I know, Disney is just messed up now. :p

  • What are some good books for teenagers?

Considering you said 'teenagers,' and not 'teenage girls,' I would not recommend the Twilight series. It's too romantic; it even makes some girls sick.

As a teenager, I'll admit that I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings... not because it was pure Fantasy, but because it was a delightful challenge, and helped open my eyes to the standards I should set for books. The writing is poetic, and the storyline is captivating. What are some good books for teenagers?
yeah i agree with vanessa, the twilight saga is a must read for girls of all ages. During my teens i loved books by Kate Cann- hard cash is a great book which is the first in a trilogy amongst other great books by that author. Forever by Judy bloom is a must read too. If you go on amazon there are recomendations that users have suggested, and most of the books on their have been reviewed :)What are some good books for teenagers?
Mortal Instruments series, The Private Novel Series, The hunter games, There are a tons of great books but it all depends on what genre you like. I named a few from different genres. Check them out, trust me you won't be disappointed.

How many hours do ';normal'; teenagers read a day?

like for class and for fun and on the internet?

is there a average? How many hours do ';normal'; teenagers read a day?
Ok, I was a teenager in the 80s, so maybe this alone disqualifies me from answering this question, but I frequently read all afternoon and most of the night as a teenager. I'd do it now, but 2 kids demand 27 hours a day of my attention :). I don't know if I was average or not, but I have a lifelong love of reading and actually became a professional editor (yes, you can get PAID to read!).How many hours do ';normal'; teenagers read a day?
ummm a lot of teenagers dont like to read. (at least my friends dont)

i love reading, but i hardly find time for it with a lot of activities...

probably four hours a week? maybe?
    ZERO
You will find that the clever teenagers read more and watch less telly. 2 hours each evening is perfectly fine.

I read a lot when I was a teenager until they forced me at school (I did many languages for which I had to read). It took me many years to get my appetite back. So if you like reading, keep reading and don't take notice of what others say. That is not to say that you should become a recluse! Go out and have some fun too.
For fun (Internet and blog): 479364736474 hours a day

For class and schoolwork: -5.5 hours a day

My logic is cannot be denied.
how do u define normal anyway? teenagers are all different and they can read how much they want. if u need a statistics average. go to google or something. but half of it is bulls.h.i.t. bcoz not ALL teenagers answer those questions.
Depends on your defination of normal. teenagers are all different and consider diferent things as 'reading' when it's not really. if you want an approximate answer try researching the topic
None (Unles you consider TV, ads, internet, etc) but all the normal ones are lame.......................If you figure in the above I'm sure it would be..........maybe a couple of pages but that's after averaging those who do not read altogether.
    thats an oxy moron ';normal teenager';
I spend about maybe an hour to 2 hours on the computer. Then during a whole school day maybe an hour.
maybe but does the number of reading hours really define normal? that's pretty sill isn't it?

Do models and celebrities in advertising promote an unhealthy body image for teenagers today? and why?

my media assignment :) i need peoples opinions xDo models and celebrities in advertising promote an unhealthy body image for teenagers today? and why?
Some do. But to be honest, it's really all about a persons ability to separate the appearances of Hollywood from the reality. People can complain all they want about the unhealthy body image, but the fact is if people want to be skinny, its a personal choice. And being in the public eye is just something they choose too. It's better then if everyone was fat. Then kids would start overeating and not exercise. Hollywood is skinny, but it also stresses the importance of health. Few respected celebrities are skinny because of eating disorders. It's dieting and exercise. Do models and celebrities in advertising promote an unhealthy body image for teenagers today? and why?
I believe nowadays people focus too much on the physical, and its a shame that teens have to feel so much pressure because of what the media says about body image, and the material things they should have. I believe that their are some celebs that present a good body image in the way that they look (Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Alicia Keys) and there are some that just look ridiculous and they give teens a false view of what is normal. Teens are greatly influenced by the media, thats is why teens act the way they act, and do the things they do. In another aspect, celebrities are not the parents of the teens absorbing the media, the parents of the teens should help and guide there children in healthy thinking.
I was just watching Desperate housewives and grey's anatomy reruns and it was crazy. Sickly skinny women, every last one of them. When all you see on tv is waaay skinny people, you naturally start looking at your normal self as abnormal.

But, at the same time, being fat isn't healthy either, and it's a known fact that the US has an obesity problem.

So, it seems to me that a small portion of the teenage girl population is buying into the super skinny ideal set forth by models and celebrities, and then about half of the population is buying into the McDonalds commercials and leading unhealthy lifestyle. Both are equally disturbing and detrimental to health.
I see enough overweight kids walking around today that it seems that it is not that much of a problem. Maybe for a small select group of young women in certain cultures that believe the thinner they are the better they look.
Well i`m a guy and the only thing male models could advertise for me is fitness wich isnt a bad thing
    I think No

    they are just advertising

How would you deal with teenagers who lied (about stealing and god knows what else) straight in your face?

Teenages who were confronted with obvious stealing in the house, lied boldly and disrespect parents. What are the solutions??How would you deal with teenagers who lied (about stealing and god knows what else) straight in your face?
Well. One thing I have heard but haven't had to follow through with is this. I heard that some parents will remove EVERYTHING from the kids room. Leave them a blanket and provide them with a change of clothes. Even remove the door from their room. As the law states, you just have to have 2 sets of clothes, 1 to wear, 1 to wash, a place to sleep (no criteria here, just a PLACE to sleep). and 3 meals. That's it. Everything else is considered ';extra'; and is not prescribed by law. I think it is extreme but would do it if my hand was forced. My kid saw it being done first-hand so right now all I have to do is threaten it. Lets hope it stays that way.

P.S. PEOPLE - Read the question. It does not say they are stealing from a store. They are stealing from 'the house'... As a parent confronting the thieving child, YOU ARE the 'manager'.How would you deal with teenagers who lied (about stealing and god knows what else) straight in your face?
Tell them you are not a fool, make them take back the stuff they stole, straight to the head manager of the store. Make them feel embarrassed and ashamed of what they did. Then, phone your local police station and ask if you can take the boys to a teenage jail, that should set them straight. Also, praise their good actions, even things like going to school for the full day and not skipping. There is no such things as bad apples, just bad and inconsistent parenting.
Send them to miltary school and tell them u know the truth.
more parental interaction? this is tough, but I find that kids respond better to attention, affection, interaction, and true interest in them rather than punishment.

    of course I'm no pro, and maybe these kids are just ';bad apples';
make him/her take it back to the store. Open or unopened. If the cops get involved then make him/her clean and mow lawns to make up for the fine. Embarrasement is getting caught stealing. That will teach them. Tough love!

Who would you deal with teenagers who think they know it all I';m talking 15,16,17yr.olds?

there the first to tell you how the game of life works, but if they need something there the first to ask, their my girlfriends kids they stress her and myself out and most certianly put a strian on our relationship I am not going to play there little games, nor am I going to give them a silent treatment either. what do you do when you are living with them?Who would you deal with teenagers who think they know it all I';m talking 15,16,17yr.olds?
im 17, but really i think it depends on the kid. Theyre going to annoy you alot, especially since you're not theyre father. If you sit down and talk to them, theyre not really going to pay attention, all they'll say is, You're not my father, who are you to tell me what to do?

Let them do whatever they want, they'll learn from their mistakes and eventually thank you for TRYING to help them. Kids my age are stubborn and hard headed and we think we know it all, but lets face it, were all scared to death about the future and eventually we ALWAYS need your help. They'll come to you.Who would you deal with teenagers who think they know it all I';m talking 15,16,17yr.olds?
Well they are your partners children so when you got with your partner you should have realised that you would also have to take on living with her children...You cant and shouldnt try and push her children out, at this age they are all the same as they arent very mature but they grow up and change. All they want you to do is react so just play things cool ignore them and be there for them if they need advise you should be glad if they ask your advise that means they have some kind of trust in you...

This is part of being a parent anf bringing up children, dealing with their attitudes dont lower yourself to a teenage level and react just rise above and let them get on with everything they need to they will soon grow out of the teenage behaviour...
If it's backtalk, then SHE, being their parent, needs to smack their mouths, and open up a giant can of whoopup on them when needed. They aren't too old for that if they are going to act like that. If they are going to act like a child, then they will be treated as such, and children need spankings from time to time.

If she isn't willing to do that, that means she's willing to let them destroy your relationship, and you would do better to move out and move on to someone who WILL make their kids respect you.
well im 15 and I will tell you this. If I want advice I will ask for it and follow it. But if i don't want it, there is nothing my parents can do that will make me follow their advice. I might listen to it or i might tune them out....but I wont follow it.

now you see. That is true and it isn't. You see, that is what us teenagers send across. and we do that purposely. Because part of us WANTS to know everything. But there is a tiny part of us that knows we didn't.

so while we may ';ignore'; your advice we really are listening and will most likely follow it when you aren't looking. After all, we cant admit we were wrong.

all i can say is, keep being there for them. give them advice and always treat them with the respect any human deserves. You may be older but they are still human. Teens want to be adults. We want to be treated with the same respect adults want to be treated with.

Show them respect, don't bow down and kiss their feet, but show respect. Give them advice and treat them nice. ALL THE TIME whether they want it or not just give it to them.

they will thank you in the long run.

    good luck

I'm a fifteen year old 'know it all.' My mum's best friend has a son who is the same, so as soon as I say something, she goes 'You dont know it all though.. _____ does' Which soon shuts me up. But seriously, it's a phase.. if I think about it it is kind of seeking approval, when a teen's self esteem is low, So instead of sarcasm and beating them down, try to be more positive towards your child, and just laugh off the cocky bits :D

    Hope I helped XD
I agree with Tina. You get get you give Do you treat them like you know everything? Do you give them respect? If not don't expect any back. Unquestioning obedience is not a great charateristic compared to independent thought.
Do you have respectful conversations with them? I often see people say that teens have no respect, but thats often because they aren't given it in the first place. If you give a little, you might get a little.
Make you a list of rules and put them on the wall so they can read them. If they don't follow them, they loose. Make sure one of the rules is, If you live under my roof, you will respect me at all times.
Well, what's the difference between a 17 year old, and an 18 year old?
well, whats the difference between a 17 year old and an 18year old

Do you still clean your teenagers room?

I know I am a horrible parent, at least that is what some will say, but I do....I clean it! There I confess....Do you still clean your teenagers room?
I dont think you should. You never know what you will find.

Your not a horrible parent for cleaning their room,

just let them do it themselves

dxDo you still clean your teenagers room?
It's not a matter of you being a horrible parent, it's what you want your teen to be like. Do you want him/her to be self-supporting, orderly, organized, and efficient? Then something as elementary as keeping their room neat is a must. It really is amazing how much of our lives is the result of the way we were raised. Honestly, it's not a live or die thing, but I assure you that it will be good character that his or her future employer appreciates one day and their spouse will admire and respect. We all know what a cool thing it is when our partner helps out with the house.
lol I wouldn't say horrible!!My children are still young but I don't plan to when they get older, they need to learn to clean up after themselves,we are currently staying with my In laws and my hubby's younger brother is 15 and my MIL cleans up after him,I swear if he asked her to wipe his butt she would. He makes all kinds of messes and leaves them there it is horrid.I get very annoyed when he doesn't clean up after himself. My son is only 3 yrs and he cleans up after himself.
Your not doing a good thing for your teen.

You are enabling them and I would hate to see it when there married and if the spouse have to pick up after them.

I am not sure if you like to read or not but here is a good book for you!

Boundaries with kids or it's Boundaries for kids.

This is a great book and I recommend you read it from cover to cover.

It has helped me be a better parent.

Mother of 3 and a step mom to 1.
You are not a horrible parent. Also if you do clean your kids room they know you have a better chance of finding secret things. Being notes, magazines they should not have, ext. This way you can always keep them on their toes.

Also depends on why you are cleaning. Do they have school then go to work? Do they help around the house more in turn for you cleaning their room?
    ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

your still cleaning your teenagers room! When she goes off to live her life..wiihtout you shes not gonna know what to do and shes going ot be very very dirtty! my mom makes me do chores around the house..tis not that much..but its enough that ill know how to live my life in college and older life...sooo stop cleaning his/her room and let your child take responsibility!

dont worryy she will do it..i dont think shed want any boys or firends seeing her room like that!...dont worry mine gets a mess then i spend aday cleaning it..cuz id get mebarressed

and if its a guy .. boys dont care what there room looks like..so if he doesnt clean his room dont give him allowence or dont let ihm go out..untill its cleaned
You clean your teenager's room???!?? My parents haven't cleaned my room since I was old enough to do it myself.

Oh and not to mention that I have a messy Rome mate/sister who refuses to clean so I have to do it all.

You're not a bad parent. But maybe you should think of letting your teen clean his/her own room.
My mom does clean my room. I hate when she does though. I personally rather it messy. I absoIutely NEVER clean it.I feel like I can find things easier when it is messy. It's weird I know but I dont like it clean. I just wouldnt clean it your teenagers room. They might like it messy.
I don't have a teenager. My oldest son is only 4 years old but no, I do not clean his room aside from vacuuming it. I make him do it. I don't think you're a horrible parent, but you really should make your teenager clean their own room.
NO!!! The only time that I will even go into my teenage daughter's room is to throw everything out of it. She must clean it....and if it's not up to my liking....everything gets thrown into the hallway and she has to clean it from there.
Well my parents don't. Sometimes my dad offers to do it sometimes but I won't let him because A. it makes me feel bad that he is doing my chores and B. he likes to get rid of stuff he thinks that we won't need and once he threw away my homework.
No they need to do it themselves they need to have that responsibity so they will grow up knowing no one is going to do this for them they have to do it for themselves
My parents dont clean my room, but i dont hardly ever so its usually a mess, until my mom grounds me for ignoring her when she tells me too. :)
Me too! i just have to clean my room. :)

After a while it gets so ... unorganized and i actually WANT to clean it!
    my mum and cleaner does.

i prefer washing the dishes or cleaning the garden than cleaning my room...

i'm trying to stop this bad habit...
Naa my mom doesnt clean my room anymore.

She gave up on ever having my room clean.

So she doesnt ask me to clean anymore (:
i gave up cleaning there rooms about two years ago although sometimes i still do

u are NOT a horrible parent...
    No, I dont.

I think there is a point when they need to act responsible. my children have been expected to keep their rooms clean since they were 8
im 17. i flip every time my mom goes into my room. i wouldnt want her touching all my stuff, going through it and moving it around
You're not a horrible parent. But your teen needs to learn to be responsible for his/her room. It's an important thing to teach. If your teen is used to having a clean room then he/she will probably keep it clean on their own just because they wont want it dirty. Just kindly pass the responsibility on to your teen and see how it goes. Be ready to enforce new rules that come with the independent cleaning. Good Luck!
Nope, my parents don't clean my room. It bothers me when my room is dirty so I clean it myself.
    i clean my own room

    my mom dont care

it annoys me wen its messy tho
my mom does if she can't stand it anymore, since I never clean it.
My maid cleans my room :)
