Why do you think teenagers need to learn about sexual health??

and what do you think we hav to or might want to know about it??how if teenagers don't really know obout theri sexual health, phisically, socially, and emotionally??Why do you think teenagers need to learn about sexual health??
Sexual health is just as important as any other type of health. To stay healthy, you need to know how and why to wash your hands, brush your teeth, and get a good nights rest. Understanding your body intimately and the purpose of what is going on is no different. As with everything, education is the key to making the best choices. Knowing what your body is doing, why, and the products out there to keep you healthy will give you the opportunity to make the best choices in this area. Things you need to know include:

1. your biology: how your sexual organs work from a scientific perspective.

2. what happens during sex

3. the consequences of sex both physically and emotionally

-pregnancy

-STD's (which should also be looked at in depth)

-giving trust over to someone and the possibility that they

will not respect you

-possibility of earning a bad reputation

4. products on the market to keep you safe during sex. What they are and what their accuracy rate is as well as any adverse side affects.

Hope this helps. Why do you think teenagers need to learn about sexual health??
I think it really depends on the situation. Some places don't teach sex ed 'cos they think the less we know the better, while others argue that curiosity may drive us to experiment in not so safe ways. Of course, it really depends on the angle you want to present it. In Singapore, sex ed takes the stance not of safe sex but of abstinence. We learn most of the sex ed stuff in science, and the message is always abstinence is best. In fact, I remember a line from a textbook I last read 5 years ago that 'Abortion results in a lifetime of guilt', as its way of scaring teens off with the consequences.
YES--but not in school-at home
