Why do we teenagers (and early 20s) tend to think we know a lot more than our parents do?

because we're stubborn and

a - don't want to listen to what people tell us to do and

b - we think we know more because we're in the situation as opposed to hearing about it or ';been there done that [like 20 years ago!!!]';Why do we teenagers (and early 20s) tend to think we know a lot more than our parents do?
it's perception and misinterpretation

with a little bit of nature thrown in . . .

Parents say no cause they know

the dangers involved because they

see the big picture, details and all,

and are in it for the the long term,

cause they've been there and done

that, but teens are in the here and

now, they respond quickly cause

there impulsive, and even worse,

suffer from a dangerous disease,

called '; Invincibility '; like cancer,

bad things are something that others

get and not them, until something

does happen then they go ballistic,

As for the nature part, they have to

be combative or eventually they may

just discover there can be a profit in

be nice to the old folks, and that in

turn can be detrimental when the old

folks kick off, and little johny and suzy

have to sell there @sses on the street

cause they don't know how to live any

other way . . .Why do we teenagers (and early 20s) tend to think we know a lot more than our parents do?
Arrogant little snots ; ) When you are their age you will figure out that you don't know jack and then your kids will be doing the same to you.
Probably cause we think we know whats cool at the moment. Although in 20 years we'll see how totally uncool we really were.
Well said!

My thoughts exactly!
