What causes a female teenagers hair to thin?

Illness, stress, hormone imblance, there are many reasons a persons hair comes out no matter how old they are. Good Luck. And if the problem continues I'd suggest seeing your doctor or if you have anything else go wrong. . .it could be an illness or an imblance. What causes a female teenagers hair to thin?
The most common reason for a teenagers hair to thin is from anorexia. If you haven't been eating properly, haven't been taking care of yourself, have lost a lot of weight or are stressed then that is the most likely reason for your thin hair.

Good Luck.

A poor diet, or some medical issue. Best get to a Doctor, soon.
its usually stress. this is very common in juniors.
see a doc is my answer b/c i dunno
Stress, cheap shampoos, too much hair coloring/dying in a short time span.
nothing causes it,it's just that you were born like that.i'm a teenager but i don't have thin hair.
maybe too much use of harsh shampoos and other chemicals
short of vitamines and poor care of hair
caring more with dresses, make-up stuffs etc...not taking much care about hairs
Poor health, or simply because the hair is too long or tied up too tight that it pulls on the roots.
