You should give Into the Woods by Lyn Gardner a try. It is a great fairytale type of book, blending a few fairytales into an original story. It is about 3 sisters braving a journey together against a villian. I loved reading it!
I would suggest Harry potter series (people think its for children but it is not, it really is brilliant) and the Twilight series. Depends on what kind of books you like really! Hope this helps!
Books by Sarah Dessen, My Sister's Keeper, Twilight, Maximum Ride, Gossip Girl, and The Clique.
