Teenagers today face more pressures than their parents?

Teenagers today face more pressures than their parents did. do you agree or disagree? and why please

can you help me to do this homework and if you have any website talk about that tell meTeenagers today face more pressures than their parents?
Disagree COMPLETELY.

Kids just now a days are spoiled little brats who over exaggerate everything. Apparently doing dishes and not having the latest cell phone is horrible and completely ruins there life.

Kids need a smack in the ***.

The pressure is the same, it's just thar they are stupid enough to do whatever it is they are being pressured into doing cause they are stupid and can't think for themselves. Well, they can, but apparently rebelling over their parents is smart. Which in the end always turns into the kid doing something stupid and irresponsible.

Kids are stupid. Teenagers today face more pressures than their parents?
I disagree. People these days have peer pressure for sex, alcohol and drugs but then again that has always happened. Way back when teenagers had to split their profits with their parents, help out a lot more around the house. There were still huge numbers of domestic violence and racism and such. Sexism and racism were huge factors that are still continuing to get better. They didn't have the technology we have today. Sure they were pushed to do well but if you look around at teenagers these days their priorities are pretty screwed up. But then again girls can be bitchy and stuff now...More homework because people can't be stuffed to do it in class..

Not too sure =S
I agree... but then again maybe not because the parents need to put up with these kids xD

-Peer/parental pressure (i mean, you don't see a kid telling their parents ';You better work hard at that job of yours or else blah blah blah!';)

- School

-Normal friend drama and stuff

-Crushes

-What they're going to do w/their life

-Popularity

-Self-consciounsness

That's basically it. I'm not saying that parents have any pressure, because they do... After all, we are in an economic crisis or w/e [i forgot the word i hear it evry day!] and the holidays are coming up, layoffs at work and stuff.

Goodluck
Well, I think we face a little more pressures, but I'm not so sure about a lot. My parent's grew up in the 60's and 70's, 80's for college. So I can easily guess they were faced with drugs, sex, and alcohol just as we are. My parents themselves told me it was probably harder for us. They weren't all cliquey and stuff from what she told me. My parents weren't faced with so much of materialistic peer pressure (if thats a way to put it).

Us kids now are a lot more into cliques, material things, and this stupid drama type crap. So maybe we are put through more emotionally. We also have a lot more homework, and we study things my parents didn't study until junior and senior year while I'm just in 8th grade.

Violence is a little worse thing now also though. When I saw violence I mean school shootings and such. War has ALWAYS been around and about unfortunately. I think we are growing up in harder times truthfully. People back in the day always did what their parents said, and worked etc. I wish that was with our generation.
that statement is not true your parents did the same as kids to day it was just a different things they had to do example me

then I was 11,12,13,14,15,I worked my family's farm and my dads meat cutting store I got paid $5.00 a day to work I did not receive any money for anything if I wanted something I had to get a job and I mean to buy my own bike I had to earn the money I wanted a tv great get a job when I wanted a car I had to pay for it. today you may have to do different things to get your money but I bet you have to do something to get it and if you do not then you have answered your question you have it easier then your parents the question you need to ask is how dose your life differ to when your parents why your age so ask your parents what they had to do in a dad to da of there life at your age then compare what you do to what they have had to do
well today, schools usually give out harder and more work. so yes school wise, kids today are more pressured. but it also depends on how you keep pace of doing your homework, and if you like doing it or not
yes teenagers today have alot of more pressure. schools are not as strict so kids have a hrad time. drugs are used more, kids are being pressured to have sex at a younger age
nope disagree. drugs, sex and drinking are still around just as they were 30, 40 years ago.

truuust me, if your parents grew up in the 60s there was a LOT more pressure....acid, lsd!
Yes and no. Peer pressure is up a little more but think about ur parents. They lived Woodstock, what more of a drug culture could u get.
no just different things, but teenagers in all generations are immature mostly
Yes, I agree. I'm 14 and there is SO much pressure in school (schoolwork and social drama).
