Why do the teenagers and 20 somethings have an attitude of entitlement?

We bought a car for our daughter and told her she can not be in her cell phone when driving ... what happened she was on her cell phone with her boyfriend and rear ended a car. She's ok as well as the man who she hit ... but now she is livid that we won't buy her another car and she needs to repay us for the car ... is this unreasonalbe? Why do the teenagers and 20 somethings have an attitude of entitlement?
No it is not unreasonable. Too many teens get in wrecks that could have easily been prevented, and get another new car, and then wreck that one, the cycle repeats itself. Remembering back to when I was a teen, I'd probably have reacted the same way as your daughter, but never did my parents give in.Why do the teenagers and 20 somethings have an attitude of entitlement?
I can empathize with your situation, but you should not make a blanket statement like that. Not all young people feel entitled.....some of us were raised right.
It's very reasonable. She messed up and has to pay for it. It's a life lesson.
