Why the teenagers like to use bad words ?

I think teenagers like to use bad words because it makes them feel more grown up. If you'll watch them they will be talking, but when they use bad words they say them louder. Like they want people to hear how cool they are because they can say fu*k! It sounds silly, but I remember wanting to be grown up so badly I would swear all the time because then I sounded the part. I had no idea how stupid I sounded until I really did grow up! Now I get embarrassed for these young girls. On the bus the other day (people take buses to work around here) there was a girl that was about 14 or 15 singing, ';Lick this pus*y just like you should.'; Everyone thought she looked and sounded really silly. But she thought she sounded grown up. And their peers think the same thing. So you have a group of girls/guys who think it sounds cool and grown up so everyone has to talk like that to be accepted. Does that make sense???Why the teenagers like to use bad words ?
cuz no one wants them to and profanity sounds ghettoWhy the teenagers like to use bad words ?
It makes them feel like an adult
they think it makes them cool.... i know i used to think that.
cuz its fun..duh??
Because they can!
* showing off, or

* trying to act adult, or

* they don't have the vocabulary or imagination to use alternatives

I know it's corny, but I sometimes use ';Arugula!'; in place of expletives. Not only is it not nasty, but it cracks people up. :o}
It makes them feel older and stronger using bad words
For emphasis and vividness
Easy... because teenagers grow up in a world full of bad examples. And because teenagers live to do things that they know are bad so they can be cool and popular. Hence why most people start smoking as teenagers, and drinking, and having sex and other drugs... some just swear a lot...
it makes us feels like big people. at this stage in our lives, our hormones are raging, and we get angry. curse words are just a nonviolent release of that anger.
Products of their environments.......To fit in???
because they grew up hearing people use bad words
Teenagers like to use bad words for many reasons. I know that we teenagers fall under the pressure of being ';in';. This causes us to use slang or bad language to make ourselves seem like the rest of the cool people, even if they aren't making the right decision. We also use bad language when we get mad at people or when we pick on others that are of lower class to us.
it goes on the teen sometimes they do becuse of the friends they have and they think it is cool.
insecurity (friends cuss), they think it's cool %26amp; a lack of a full vocabulary to choose from.
Rules are meant to be broken
why because we think it makes us look cool maybe?

or maybe its because almost everyone else does in the world...

ey swearing/cussing/using bad/naughty words are usually the first words most international students learn :p but yea why do we i will never know...
Kids use bad words because they want to be grown and they it`s a way to be grown
Makes them feel more grown up and like they belong in todays world. Anger, they learn it from their parents and saw how they used it when they got angry also. It all goes hand in hand!
They think it proves their maturity, which most of them lack in the first place.
It's a relatively safe way to rebel.
To some they think it makes them sound grown-up. Others sometimes do it thinking it will shock you.
they do it because they want to fit in.
So non-english speakers can get a more well-rounded education.
A few reasons....

First, the fact that the words are called ';bad'; makes it appealing to a lot of young people. People always crave the forbidden fruit.

Secondly, saying curse words might make some young people feel more grown-up.

It also doesn't help that media (music, movies, etc) are filled with swear words. If a young guy idolizes a certain rapper and constantly hears him say certain words, he will want to mimic that behavior.
they think that it makes them sound grown up
because their friends are and because they think it's cool and they think it makes them seem ';big';.......
cuz it seems exciting. its the rebellious side. we're bein rebellious by disobeying, but we're not gonna get in any real trouble. i personally think its stupid.
Having raised a daughter to 25, a 13 year-old son still at home, and myself growing up through the ';down-with-the-man'; 60's and free-love 70's I must admit I've experienced PLENTY of swearing across multiple generations. I believe teenagers' use of slang and ';bad words'; in their language is two-fold:

First and foremost, they're a product of their environment. Not just at home, since many ';nice'; parents have children that swear, but at school, in team sports, listening to music, watching TV, watching movies, etc. The days of Lenny Bruce and Red Fox raising eyebrows with their ';colorful' language plus George Carlin's ';Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television'; are LONG GONE. Prime time TV and music on public airwaves 24/7 is FULL of ';bad words';.

Second, it is simple human nature to want to ';conform';...be part of the ';in'; crowd. Call it peer pressure, but you shouldn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that, regardless of the source, kids desperately want to fit in - ESPECIALLY during the teenage years. Additionally, teenagers NEED to exercise their independence in some way - prove they are ';grown up';.

So, like it or not, it is simply another facet of our times and current society. ';Bad words'; are fast becoming ';just words';.
because everyone around them, like their parents and family members curse. i give a ****, i don't want my kids cursing.
