Well, it has been said that with the invention of the automobile, teenagers back then started having sex in the back/front of them.
And since liquor was outlawed somewhere in that time period, I am sure that getting drunk was so much more exciting than it is now.
So my first assumption would be that they had a great life screwing each other in the backs of cars while drinking bootlegged liquor and getting trashed!
The best places to find answers would be in the backs of those antique cars hidden all over the countryside. Take a forensics team with you cause the live ones aren't so live anymore!

Go visit any nursing home, retirement center, or senior citizen center. Oh, and another thing really listen when they are talking to you.
