Why do many people(specially teenagers) getting addict being ';EMO';?

Because they are teenagers who prefer to do what other teens think is cool, and also the media influences this.





Emo is actually the shortened form of the word ';Emotional.';


However, these people has turned this into a style/trend that gives them a certain appearance.


Long emo hair, black clothes, chains, piercings, etc.


But there are emotional people who don't do that.


I'm emotional, and I do not have an emo hair, or wear emo clothes, and I don't like piercings.


And emos don't cut themselves by the way.

It seems to me, that most people who are emo seem to do it for attention and are depressed.





Everyone has their own way of getting attention. Everyone wants to be a little different; emo is just one variety. Some people play sports for attention, some dress trashy, others like to cry (emo).





If someone is a pessimist or depressed, then it would make sense that their efforts for attention (however subconcious) would result in them being emo.Why do many people(specially teenagers) getting addict being ';EMO';?
I'm not too sure about that people would be addicted to it, for if they were it would clearly be a sign that something strange is going on.





Perhaps it's because of the tendency for teenagers to group together, and dress in similar clothes and suchlike in the same fashion as a herd of zebras or some other herbivorous animal.





Which would make sense, considering the environment they are in when they are at school.





Occasionally you'll see one who has caused himself or has been caused to be an outcast, and such individuals are the only ones truly aware of the environment they are in, having become those whom look in and are no longer they who look out.

Emo is purely a style,


Where in which one steriotypicly wears, Skinny jeans, Black, Eyeliner, and has a side fringe,





The first guess is that they chose to adopt the style





';Emo'; is also linked in many minds to depression, or cutting ones self


they might adopt this, because they feel theres community is ';confurmist';, or they feel sad and want people to see that.





Emo, should not be steriotyped anymore than being by the clothes one weres,





Not all people who cut themselfs are emo, and not all emo's cut themselfs,





The reason the term ';emo'; is put in such a bad light is people dont like diffrence, that includeds


Diffrent clothes


diffrent ways of mind


diffrent personality





therefore we can conclude that, emo is just a syle in which someone wears, teen's become for various reasons, and the next time u see one give it a hug from both of us!!!





NOW GO OUT THERE AND HUG AN EMO!
This might be because these teenagers think that they look cool when they are ';emo';. As many teenagers love attention, they want to put on their ';emo'; act as it will attract attention especially in public places like in trains or buses.
It's just a fad. A fashion. There's been one or two in every decade. Hippy, punk, mod, new romantic, chav etc





A new one will be along in a moment or two
well at my high school, there was once a phase when almost half teh grade were 'emo'


I think they thought it was cool or wanted attention or something


When you ask why they do it they all shrug


I don't understand either
Not me, no offense to those who are, but I never really found the fad to be very attractive. It's kind of annoying to me. But to each his or her own...right?
Most likely because it's one of the latest fads. It will pass with time.
