How can Islamic teenagers survive in the West?

I mean, look at everything, the school systems. All the nudity in the world, many media giving anti Islamic impressions to people, the world is becoming corrupt. How can teenager Muslims survive in Western Schools?

tell you the truth, learn to prevent from shatan (the devil) from entering and you will be rewarded for that. There are a lot of haraam things in the west and you need to learn how to not be apart of it. It is hard, trust me, but its only a phase of this world. Be strong, and dont be stuck in that kind of mess.

They cant.





Not unless they compromise a part of their own religious teachings.





If they dont, they risk living in non social environments which is also not healthy.





But if you ask me, the kids should not be pressured by anything too much.





They have too many hormones running in their system to think right anyways. Why make it worse?





I think we should just teach em the rights and wrongs and help them be good people overall without emphasizing religion too little or too much.
Hmmm, go to the American Bible Belt. They frown on all the same stuff.
Alhamdulillah i am a muslim teenager who is surviving in the west i go to public school and i wear hijab i think it really helps to have been raised and taught with Islam. my parents explain things to me and are very supporting. Plus i have great friends muslim and non muslim. my non muslim friends dont care what i wear and that i'm a muslim and i think that is one of the things that helps me. not everyone in the world believes the media and as long as we have support from our parents and with good friends then we'll be fine IshaAllah.

Maybe by being more understanding of the culture you have CHOSEN to join.





If you don;t like it find a country where you can be happier.
They survive just fine, the other way around is a completely different story though. A western teenager in a muslim country has to face much scarier problems.
Insha'Allah you can ignore it. Try doing more activities at your masjid. The main thing is to try to keep your mind (And eyes!!) off the distractions.
They have not survived. They have turned against the west and have starting to bomb them. Muslims are tricky.

Your question sounds haughty. ALL PEOPLE of all creeds or ethnicity, children, teenagers and adults alike, at a certain time in their lives confront some sort of violence, corruption, etc. Wherever people exist, including Islamic dominated countries, you will experience problems.


We all have a deep desire to survive!





Forgive me to be sarcastic (it is not directed to your religion as such) but if you don't like it in the West, you should think about moving to some other place else in the World.

i am 19 and pretty conservative for a gir lfrom chicago i mean im into clothes hair and makeup but i dont need to flaunt everything i think it is so sad what this world has come to


people think im envious when i talk abou these girls who demean themselves but in fact i feel so bad for them and the life they are leading them selves into

Like we always have been. By ignoring the bad stuff and focusing on Allah. And by the way, the east is now just as sexual if not more than the west in some respects. It all depends on who is strong enough to resist it.
Being able to survive in the west really applies to everybody. How can all parents raise their children to have morals when society is telling the teenagers that having sex is cool and other stuff as well. I once knew a 12 year old who got pregnant by a 30 year old man.





For Muslim teenagers, all they have to do is focus on Allah and realize that he knows best for us. Reciting, praying and other religious duties can help them stay good Muslims.





BTW, I get the Jevohah's Witness books and one article was about this subject too. The title of the article was something like the moral decline of the west.
